Success at 2014 Angus National Heifer Roundup

Hilary, Thomas and Lachlan Keevers headed north to Toowoomba Qld for the 2014 Angus National Heifer Roundup. This year they selected three 6 month old heifers on cows out in the paddock, weaning them the week prior and having a quick breaking session. Fortunately the couple of days in the sheds at Toowoomba assisted the process and they managed to come away with both a first and second placing in the strong under 12 months heifer class, after giving away 6 months in age and plenty of preparation and show experience to other heifers in the class. Lachlan's heifer Alumy Creek Tandia J31 by TC Aberdeen placed first and Hilary's heifer Alumy Creek Doris J86 by Flag Cross Country placed second in the strong class.
