2013 On Property Bull Sale
Our 2013 Annual On Property Bull Sale was held with a fine mild day and a good lineup of buyers attending from Wandoan Qld south to Willowtree NSW and east to the coast at Coraki. We wish the successful purchasers all the best with their new bulls. Many of those attending were repeat buyers all full of excellent reports of the paddock performance and great temperament of their Alumy Creek bulls and quality saleyard performance of their progeny in the past few years.
Top priced bull at $6000 was Lot 8 Alumy Creek Grenade G06, a 888kg Mohnen Dynamite son purchased by regular Alumy Creek supporter Eric Newsome Blue Granite Grazing Dundee. Equal top price of $6000 was paid after the sale for Lot 3 Alumy Creek Goliath G17, a 1033 kg son of SAV Pioneer out of our Applause/ Pleasure cow line by repeat local buyer Phil Jones of Tenterfield.
Second top price was $5500 for Lot 5 Alumy Creek Gin and Tonic G12, a B muscle butt profile 932kg son of Sydgen CC&7 purchased by regular supporters Helen and Genevieve Reeves of Stanthorpe. New buyer Alex Anderson of Black Mountain Angus, Willowtree purchased Lot 4 Alumy Creek Galaxy G42, a 1002kg SAV Pioneer son for the equal 2nd top price of $5500.
General concensus was a terrific lineup of quality performance bulls that were very affordable buying due to the prevailing seasonal conditions, selling for an average of $3770 and a 60% clearance.
