2025 PTIC HBR Stud Online Only Female Sale report

Top priced heifer Lot 30 Alumy Creek Applause U121 by Ferguson Trailblazer
28th Feb 2025

29/59 lots sold under the hammer with an additional 6 lots sold post sale for a top of $4250 for Lot 30 Alumy Creek Applause U121 a PTIC heifer by Ferguson Trailblazer in calf by AI to Woodhill Patent selling to repeat buyer Bernard Waters, Durn Vale Angus, Manami Farming, Quinalow QLD. Bernard was also the buyer of last year's top priced female and had been very happy with the production from those females returning to put together a draft of 10 head this year with both heifers and young proven cows. The top priced heifer Lot 30 had been placed into the sale draft to replace her mother who had been selected for the sale draft but was one of the 5 PTIC stud cows that were struck by lightning and killed in a late January storm at Tenterfield.

A mix of new and repeat buyers operated in the online sale, volume buyer with 14 head was Ben Brunckhorst, Sugarloaf QLD putting together a draft of 14 heifers, with Smithston Farms and Timberline Angus Studs both successful repeat buyers. We were very happy with both the sale average of $3087 and the 61% clearance given the mix of seasonal across the eastern states. Sale was settled by Elders Glen Innes.
